Jessica Grose writes about arts and culture. She is an associate editor at Slate, and she manages DoubleX, Slate's section for women. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, the Village Voice, Marie Claire, Spin, Salon, the New York Post, the Providence Phoenix, and several other publications. Jessica is the co-author, with Doree Shafrir, of Love, Mom: Poignant, Goofy, Brilliant Messages from Home. She lives in Brooklyn.
